It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our special girl, Dede. She was such a sweet thing, quite the showgirl and a credit to her sire, Puck. She definitely lived up to her name in every way! The photo below is of Dede winning the points to finish her championship.
Ch. Gaylord's Made To Perfection
Just returned from the Ohio Valley Specialty (March 2009) and had a great time ... thank you to all of the members for such a wonderful show.
We just have to share this touching story with everyone....
About 10 years ago an elderly lady (who had a Bobbindobber son for 14 years) contacted us and wanted another corgi. At that time we had a CH bitch that we had bred once and decided to place her with this lady (the bitch was 3 years old). We had contacted this lady a couple of years ago and told her that if this bitch became a problem or burden for her, to please give us a call and we would come and fetch her. About 3 weeks ago this lady's daughter called us and told us that her mother had passed away and she knew that we had told her mother that we wanted this bitch back. The lady was in her mid 90's. To make this long story shorter - we got our girl back and she looked absolutely fabulous and a true tribute to her former owner. We decided to enter her at the Ohio Valley Specialty in the Veterans class - so needless to say, our dear old girl won Best Veteran!
Oh, by the way, her name is Ch. Gaylord's Like Buttah (a Perrymist Red Affair daughter). We all had tears in our eyes as our Lettie strutted around the ring ... and then winning. Thank you to everyone who had kind words about her - it made our weekend! Also a big congratulations to all of the winners - it was so good to see everyone. Hope you all made it home safely.
