Ricky was bred in England by Carole and Brian Saxton (Perrymist) and we imported him to the USA in 1995 when he was four years old. Ricky has the distinction of being the foundation stud of all our Gaylord corgis. By combining his English blood lines with our line, we have been successful in breeding corgis with elegant headpieces, level toplines and wonderful temperaments.
Ricky finished his Championship with 3 major wins, to include Reserve Winners Dog at the Golden Gate Specialty. We are so appreciative of all the wonderful comments about Ricky being shown at the September 2005 National in the Veterans Class just after his 14th birthday in August. See photos below!
He was pure for red and white, had an OFA Good rating and had his CERF clearance for Eyes. Sadly Ricky passed away in his sleep at 14 and a half years of age in January of 2006. A truly wonderful dog that made such an impression on our hearts and the Corgi World!
